Hi, Jim.
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
The Password Protection feature in the latest version of AVG Internet Security is not the same as the separate AVG Password Protection application. The separate AVG Password Protection application is an older AVG product that no longer works.
You can access AVG Password Protection on AVG Internet Security itself.
To ensure Password Protection is enabled and actively protecting your passwords, click Hacker Attacks on the main AVG Internet Security screen. A green (ON) slider above Password Protection shows that the feature is enabled.
Thank you.
I can live without it, but I am already sick of the constant taskbar reminder that I am unprotected.
It is highly annoying. If I don't want this product as it is a separate purchase now, then stop telling me that I'm unprotected.
Please accept our apologies, Jay.
To further investigate your issue, we've sent you an email with detailed instructions to contact our additional support.
Please check your inbox/spam folders to find the email and use it to contact them at your convenient time.
Who's Jim?
The slider you refer to does NOT work. Clicking on it does nothing.
I've uninstalled thwe software and repaired as per your other instructions and the result is the same.
It does NOT work.
Please help!
Thank you.
