We request you to follow the below steps and check if AVG Password Protection is installed and working. Open Antivirus free -> My AVG -> Subscription -> make sure that you have logged in using your email address.
If so, click on My AVG -> Password Protection -> check whether it shows as installed or prompt to install now. If it is already installed, your Password Protection will be fine. Else, click on it to initiate the installation.
If it doesn't work, close your AVG products you have opened, go to run command by pressing Windows and R key simultaneously, type " services.msc " and press enter. Select AVG Antivirus and restart its service from left pane.

Just purchased password protection but can't activate. The screen options on the free anti virus do not have a connect button
