Password Protection

Since 3 days ago with updates, I have the same issues as others here I see, password protection keeps switching off continually requiring attention.

I am not uninstalling and reinstalling as suggested to others at this time as I have other major issues. Are these also caused by AVG's 'bug"  or failure to protect updates?

Windows update failed, Nvidia update failed all at the same time as your "bug" was installed.

Also admin privileges are affected with mmc.exe blocking many access to such as device manager etc.
