Hi Shaun,
This isn't the experience we want you to have.
Please clarify whether there are any other conflicting optimization tools installed on your computer & if you remember, let us know the version of AVG TuneUp, with which you've experienced the issue.
Hi there
I have had sever issues with my PC taking 20 to 30 minutes to boot. Internet research indicated that the issue could be caused by third party anti-virus / utility programs. I uninstalled PC tune-up and the boot time improved to acceptable levels. When PC tune-up was reloaded the slow boot issue manifested again. This indicates to me that PC tune-up is conflicting with win10. I have now uninstalled PC tune-up, and have acceptable boot times.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Shaun
Hi there,
Thank you for your response.
The AVG TuneUp is Program version: 21.1 (build 2523)
The only issue that appears to be linked to tune-up is the dreadfully long boot process, which appears to have been resolved by uninstalling tune-up.
I have another issue with msedge.exe (started after a windows update) - windows appears to attempt to launch edge from time to time and then I get an error message on my screen stating that windows cannot find the program. (it is not possible to clear the error - none of the buttons work, and it does not show up on task manager) Have checked the folder reported and the file exists. Launching edge from expolorer generated the same error. Strangly renaming the file to msedge1.exe the program launches and opens without an error - which is very confusing.
Not too worried about edge as I dont use it - but the error message that cannot be cleared is very irritating. Rebooting clears the error but it pops up after a while. I have no idea what is causing the issue - except that I have read comments that this kind of issue can be caused by third party utilities - but I cannot establish this link. Have run "SFC /scannow" that reported it had found and error that had been corrected, message went away and then returned. Running SFC now gives the all clear.
