Hi Amanda,

This isn't the experience we want you to have.
To remove the traces of older version, you can run AVG Remover as instructed in this article.
If you still receive the message to remove the older version of AVG PC TuneUp, share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.

Thanks for the response. I have tried that particular method. It pops up saying it can't be located or I don't have authorization. I am the only one on this pc. I have paid for the new version. Why can't I get rid of the old one. What's the hang up?

I have the old PC Tune Up and recently was auto renewed. The new PC Tune Up will not install because I still have the old one installed…yes, the obvious answer here would be to remove the original program. Well what it if it just won't remove. I've tried everything short of going in there with my fingers and ripping the thing out. Please help me. I'm super happy with AVG but honestly this is frustrating me so much I may go elsewhere.
