I did uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader and it works fine now.

If you are using PrivacyFix, and your browser is Chrome or Firefox, then try "Incognito" mode for PDFs.
I have fixed my similar problem by uninstalling Adobe Reader, then going to the Adobe website (http://get.adobe.com/reader/) and installing the version suggested for my system, which was different from the version I had. (Moral: Do not trust "Check for Updates" under Adobe Reader's Help menu.)
I installed AVG Internet Security 2015 and PC TuneUp three days ago. Since that time I can't view any .PDF file that I try to view from the web in a browser window. Anybody seen or know of this issue?
