Hi
I have the same problem - (maybe you can post the answer in the forums to save it from being a secret)

I clicked on link in an email (forged) from Linkedin indicating a message needed to be read

AVG immediately detected a threat and enabled a removal action

The removal process appears to have been unsuccessful, since the threat message continues to appear immediately following every reboot, despite appearing to be removed by the user each time.

I do not consider this threat to be a false positive since the problem appears to be the result of a link to this site which I suspect is dodgy :

I hope someone can assist with this

Hi Rajarajan,

Please find image attached. This is the message shown on boot up.

Kind regards

Hi all, I also have the same issue with "Digi+ Power Control" and with PEbiosinterface32.dll coming up as a virus. I have not quarantined it just yet, as I believe it's a false positive. Can you please advise on how to rectify this problem?

Hello Tristan,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please send us a screen-shot( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot )of the 'threat' pop-up message which will help us in identifying the issue and assist you better. Thank you.

I am having the same problem ever since New Years. It seems like AVG is affecting the bios on my ASUS P8Z77-V. Is this a false positive? Why is my Digi+Power Control affected? Can someone please help me fix this?

I did an update last weekend and ever since then, on boot up, I get a trojan horse detected alert:-

Trojan horse Generic37.APY, C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\AXSP\1.00.19\PEbiosinterface32.dl

This virus detection occurs on each and every boot up, if I scan my computer after boot up AVG detects nothing bad!
If I tell AVG to remove the virus, it does not remove it and the same trojan horse is detected on auto reboot. (restore disabled).

I removed the infected hard drive and scaned it with Bullguard (which is installed on my laptop) and nothing sinister is found.
What do I do next?

Hi

I did a super clean re-installation of AVG 2016. The problem stil persists. I only get these errors with AVG 2016 installed. Your software seems to be interacting with my bios in a negative way. Why is AVG causing the error "This Model does not supports Digi+ Power Control?" Virus error
