You guys have already done that twice - removing and reinstalling AVG is not going to put a .dll back that was removed/corrupted. As stated in the first message - Photo Gallery will not run because a .dll file is missing, this happened after Windows and AVG did updates. (The error I receive is: The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR110.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.) I can't just reinstall because Photo Gallery 2012 is no longer supported and it isn't out there to download. I need the .dll or whatever it takes to replace it.
Hello Dawn,
I will certainly help you with this. This problem is caused by Visual C++ Redistributables 2012. It is either missing or corrupted.
It is necessary to reinstall MSVC package.

Hi Avinash,
Sorry it took so long to respond life has been really crazy lately.
I tried the 64 bit download and slected repair. I am not quit sure that is correct. Do I need to do the uninstall? And if so, will it still go into the new download? or do I need anothe link to download the new one? I didn't want to do it until I new I had everything I will need.
Thanks a bunch,
Dawn
Dawn, you just have to uninstall the existing visual c++ files file and download the latest C++ file from the following link:
https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/vcredist2012/vcredist_x64.exe (if your OS is 64 bit version).
https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/vcredist2012/vcredist_x86.exe (if your OS is 32 bit version).
Dawn,
I certainly understand your concern. I would request you to uninstall the existing c++ files and reinstall it to download the latest version.
Dawn, I really appreciate your efforts in resolving this issue. At this point there is one more thing which we can try, I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG Ultimate 2017. This will ensure that none of the previous traces of AVG are left on your computer and you have an updated version. (1/2)
OMG, Karthikeyan, I can't tell you how glad I am that you got my message. You are the first one in almost 3 months and probably 20 people I have dealt with trying to fix this issue. You gave me a fix that was so simple. That actually fixed it when I told it to do a repair on all Windows Essentials. I am pretty computer savvy myself, so I am kicking myself for not thinking about it myself. Is there somewhere I can write to your bosses to tell them how thankful I am for your help and knowledge? Please let me know.
Thank you again,
Dawn
Ok, but the other part of my question was 'And if so, will it still go into the new download? or do I need another link to download the new one? I didn't want to do it until I new I had everything I will need.'
Thanks again,
Dawn

Dawn,
We are glad to know that your issue is resolved.
Thank you for your appreciation and I will escalate your comments to concerned department.
We appreciate your efforts in this matter.
Feel free to contact us if you need any assistance with AVG.
Have a nice day!
I regret for the inconvenience. Have a look in Control Panel/ Programs and Features, look for a listing for Windows Live Essentials and click on that. You will be given the option to Repair all Windows Live programs, or one to remove all, or just one, of the installed Windows Live programs. Try the repair first, if that doesn't work then try removing Photo Gallery and reinstalling it from Windows Live will fix this issue.
