Photos are gone

I'm sorry to hear that you've lost your photographs. It's possible that AVG may have deleted them accidentally while attempting to free up space on your computer. However, there may still be a chance to recover them.
Here are some steps you can try to recover your lost photographs:
Check your Recycle Bin or Trash folder: Sometimes when files are deleted, they are not immediately removed from your computer's storage. They may be moved to the Recycle Bin or Trash folder instead. Check these folders to see if your photographs are still there.
Use file recovery software: There are many software programs available that can help recover deleted files from your computer's storage. Some popular options include Recuva, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, and Disk Drill. Download and install one of these programs and follow the instructions to scan your computer's storage for deleted files.
Contact AVG support: If you believe that AVG may have deleted your photographs, you can try contacting their customer support team to see if they can assist you with recovering the files.
It's important to note that the longer you wait to attempt to recover the files, the less likely it is that they can be successfully recovered. Therefore, it's important to act quickly if you want to try to recover your lost photographs.
I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck in recovering your files.

I used AVG to free up space on my computer. Now ALL of my photographs that were downloaded are gone. Is there any way to get them back ?? Help please. Some of them are irreplaceable

Hi Lynn,

We're glad to clarify this for you.
AVG TuneUp allows us to undo certain changes from the Rescue Center. Not all AVG TuneUp actions can be reversed.
The actiions that are irreversible will be informed prior cleaning the detected items. It seems that you overlooked those disclaimer & cleaned the downloads folder. We're afraid as we'll not be able to restore those files.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!
