This site can’t be reached

mail.google.com’s server IP address could not be found. This is all I get every time I try to open Google Chrome , AOL doesn't work either. Frustrated !

AVG will not block the browsing  nor the email connection.
I understand your frustrations, as you strictly believe AVG to be the cause. I suggest you to disable AVG Internet Security and check your google mail and AOL browsing. To disable AVG refer the link | AVG (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=disable-avg-antivirus&q=disabling+AVG&supportType=home)
Please let us know if disabling AVG helped with the browsing.

Google Chrome is being blocked by my AVG Internet Security , if I go to Web Shield and disable HTTPS Scanning I can get Chrome , besides being time consuming , it's not a safe fix. I paid 100 dollars to have a computer tech check all this out and he told me he could not fix this and suggested I get another security company. Also AOL doesn't accept AVG Secure browser except with it's basic mail function… I have been a long time customer of AVG and have AVG AntiTrack , AVG Tune Up besides AVG Internet Security. I an not the only customer to complain about these issues. I'm a 75 year old man with just basic computer skills so it's up to you to find out the problem. I don't want to go through the time of replacing all these security features , it was difficult for me the first time . John
