Hi, I am running AVG free edition (2016.111.7797) fine on Windows 10 when it hung on a file called VOLMGRX.SYS during a full computer scan. AVG automatically updated on 16th October 2016 and Windows 10 is totally up to date. AVG is now saying no components are active on its home screen but the service and watchdog processes are active in task manager - the watchdog service is running at 18% of the i7 CPU and taking 17mb of memory. Whenever I restart the computer the watchdog service activates itself at boot time and can't be killed or stopped. AVG itself fails when I try to repair or uninstall it. I have no protection - what do you suggest?
