Hello Richard. No AV product is capable of providing you with 100% protection although AVG are always working 24/7.

AVG would recommend to start with uninstalling all unknown/unused programs and browser addons.

I can not use my *.pga email because there is a pop-up that can not be removed.  Whenever I click an option it takes to an advertising window
