Hello,

I am continuously getting threats quarantined, and AVG informs of the security threat through a pop-up window / notification.  While this is helpful, I don't need to know of every threat, why can't this notification work in the background while using the computer?
More importantly, the notification restarts my computer when it is in sleep / hibernation so I get the computer turning on during the night... it's very frustrating.
Could someone let me know how to turn this notification off, please?? thank you !!

David, thank you for the screenshot.

Please click on the see detail option mentioned in the popup and send us the screenshot again.

Thank you for the screenshot.
As of now, there is no option available to turn off AVG Antivirus notifications in Mac.
The possible thing that can be done is that to turn off the respective shield which causes these threats to appear.
However, since it is a threat detection, we recommend not to turn off the shield.
It seems that these appear due to Google Chrome process. Hence, we request you to reset Google Chrome browser.
Once it is done, restart your Mac and see whether you get the repeated threat detection.
Keep us posted.
