Possible Trojan False Positive

Hi Roger

i am curios to see how you have got on as I have the exact same problem you are describing. This happened to my vodafone mobile broadband on Monday - the first time This has happened in 4 years. Like you, I have no way of knowing if this Trojan is false or if I am excluding a real Trojan. Any input would be great, thanks, Charlie

This is Roger not Badr: Thanks Alan, I had already submitted the EXE that I think is a false detection to AVG using the method you suggested. As yet I've not received a response to my submission.

Balasubramanian / Kishore: I don't know how or why Badr put his question about unlocking an Android phone into my posting. I don't even know who Badr is. Also your email replies to Badr have come into my mailbox. However I note that both of you are from AVG technologies and would appreciate any help / advice you could give me on my potential false detection issue. Thanks from Roger…

Our AVG mobile team will reply back to you via email with a resolution.

Hello Charlie. Have you tried adding your mobile broadband to AVG Exception?

After updating AVG 2014 Free today (Friday 26 June 2015) on my XP SP3 netbook, my vodafone "mobilebroadband.exe" is being detected as Trojan inject2.ckdn", even when reinstalling it from the CDrom partition on the mobile broadband dongle.

Neither malwarebytes anti-malware nor sophos virus removal detect any problem.

Is this a known problem ?

Hi Roger, extremely apologize for the inconvenience caused. It seems that the issue has been fixed now. Please try to update AVG ( http://avgread.me/1TgZWYq ) and check if the issue has been fixed.

If the issue persists, even after updating AVG, please follow these steps to send us diagnostic information from your computer. This information will allow us to analyze the situation and provide you with a solution:

1. Click on this link http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe to download the AVG SysInfo tool.
2. Run the downloaded tool.
3. Click Continue to agree with AVG’s license agreement and privacy policy. AVG SysInfo will now gather the data.
4. Once the diagnostic output is ready, you may add comments, or click Attach file or Screenshot to provide us with extra information.
5. Fill in your email address, and then click Send output.
6. We will analyze the received files and provide you with further information.
Thank you.
