It will stop scanning encrypted communication, IMHO it isn't big security risk.

Joe, Did you try the solution from 'General Discussion'… Have a look @ this link (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000D3pjAAC).

Hi Joe, you need to uncheck the SSl/TSL option. However I would be interested to  know from AVG what affect this has on my online security? Should I re-enable it each time I'm finished using Chromecast in order not to compromise browser protection

When I open up AVG it comes up as AVG ZEN which does not give me any option of advanced settings, or else I just dont know where it is. I did find the settings for online shield but I wasnt able to uncheck the Web Browsing Protection.

I cannot connect to my chromecast. I have tried the recomended solutions that I have seen in other similar questions and non of these work. In order to use it I have to completly disable AVG. what must I do to unblock chromecast.?
