Problem with Connectify software after updating AVG

Alok, Try upgrading to the latest AVG 2015 version to see if the issue is corrected. Have look @ this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-upgrade-AVG-8-5-9-0-2011-or-2012-to-the-latest-version). You're using AVG Free & the 2015 install file is available within the download link.

Hi Bruce,

As Alan Binch mentioned above, I downloaded AVG 2015 Free antivirus and installed it which has no Firewall option enabled. . (Not the Internet Security 2015 which has Firewall)

After installing the new version , the same issue exists. I heard it from here: Connectify Forum (https://community.connectify.me/connectify/topics/hotspot_pro_does_not_work_with_avg_when_the_firewall_is_on?utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=new_comment&utm_content=topic_link) , it seems to be AVG's Firewall issue. But I am using AVG  Free Antivirus which has no Firewall.

Also, No "Connectify components" in Virus Vault.

SO please help me out sort this issue. It is very urgent for me.! Please help out.

Thanks

Alok

Hi Alok,
In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool and please add detailed description of issue.
Thanks

"When I updated AVG…" Build 2014.0.4765 has been out since August, so unless you just moved from AVG 2013, you are probably referring to a database update. In that case I would check the Virus Vault to see if it contains any Connectify components and let us know if it does. It is also very easy to install a free trial of AVG Internet Security by mistake, in which case it might be the firewall issue.

Hi AVG Team,

I am using Connectify tool for sharing my PC internet connection. Also I am using AVG Antivirus Free Edition 2014 (No Firewall activated). When I updated AVG, the connectify is not working any more. Please do help me out. It is very urgent. Connectify team requested me to uninstall AVG which I dont want to do. Please provide me a solution.

I got this: AVG Support Community | User Forum for All AVG products , but I don't have Firewall activated. So help me out.

Thanks
Alok

Well if you don't have AVG's firewall and AVG hasn't quarantined any Connectify files, there's only one other thing I can think of. In that Connectify Forum thread that you posted a link for, did you read Tiani J's first reply from 2 months ago? She left out a step: In Network and Sharing Center you must click "Manage network connections," then  right-click on Wireless Network Connection and select Properties. This issue was discussed on the old AVG forums: AVG Community (http://forums.avg.com/us-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=235018#post_235018)

Alok, When available (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=190509) an AVG Community Support expert in Brno, Czech Rep… will respond to your posting @ their earliest convenience but please bear in mind that it's now the weekend.
