Problem with updating the torrent tracker BitComet to v2.09

I have downloaded the latest version of BitComet torrent tracker (2.09) from its official website, but after some attempts to execute the file, AVG always stopped the process with the notification that the file contains FileRepPup [PUP] and moving the file to Quarantine. I have received notifications about BitComet even before, but I didn't have any problems by far and I think it's a trusted program. What is the solution of this situation? Is it possible to update the program anymore?

I am sorry to hear that you are unable to update the Bitcomet torrent. Please make sure that your AVG Antivirus free or Internet Security application is updated to latest version. To do that follow the below article :

If you still  suspect that this is a false detection being made by AVG, please submit the detected website for false-positive analysis using this link: https://www.avg.com/en-ww/report-false-positive
Once you've submitted the false-positive report, our concerned team will analyze the website/file and if found harmless, they'll whitelist it right away. Furthermore, they'll update the status via email.
