Problems Since AVG Internet Security 2015 Update

Subscribed for 2years in June 2014. Since the update to Internet Security 2015 was installed in July 2015, protection was lost with each automatic update. Seven attempts (including using the uninstall tool & fresh downloads of the program) failed to fix the issue. On line Tech Experts reloaded it twice with no improvement.
After persevering with this for two months I requested a refund for the second year (to 30 Sept 2016) subscription which has been refused and AVG also advised that my protection under the original order has been stopped. Consumer Affairs Australia (CAA) is keen to get detailed information, particularly because of  the cancellation of protection which has been paid for. My follow up e-mail contact with the AVG team on 5 Oct 2015 has been ignored.
I guess I have to progress my liaison with CAA?
