Hi,
I have been using AVG internet security on 1 laptop under a single machine licence which expired on 9th June 2015. In December 2014, as the result of an email offer from AVG I upgraded to a two year licence for all my machines, (two laptops and Android phone) I believe that I followed the installation procedure correctly but noticed after the upgrade which also downloaded the Zen network application that everything worked fine on my new laptop and phone and also the original laptop but that the original laptop still showed the old licence which expired 9th June 2015. I contacted support and the guy there said that things should operate smoothly when the old licence expired but as of 9th June when it expired the original AVG installation on the original laptop is now saying I have no protection and puts up a nag screen to renew.
I've checked my account on AVG site and that shows that I should have cover until 9th June 2017. I am now in the position where I cannot do anything with the original laptop online as as far as it's concerned my AVG subscription has expired.
I don't know if the fact that the original subscription was taken out with a different email address has any bearing but when I contacted support I was told that the records would be amended so that it wouldn't make any difference.
Any ideas on how I get the original installation to understand that I have a new licence would be appreciated.
If no one's worked it out, I'm to technology what Hitler was to tact and diplomacy.!!!
