I would also like to inform you that I have the same problem with AVG versus Windows 10 mail; my emails fail to come through until I disable the AVG Internet Security and have to ask the question… if I have to disable the AVG each time I want to receive emails through then how am I protected from viruses ? surely the whole point of enabling AVG security is to protect me from malicious emails, etc., Why does AVG continue to have a compatability issue with Windows 10 mail and why is there no solution other than disabling the anti-virus each time as this surely is what AVG security is there to protect.

Another we have encountered since we applied tune up our system is that we cannot open attachements (which we do receive a number of from known and reliable sources) i.e excel, word PDF, pictures directly from the email which we need to do. How can we reverse this? (this is quite important to us)).

I installed AVG performance in late October and at about that time I started encountering problems with my Windows Live Mail whereby when I connect to the talktalk server (POP3) to download new emails it will, if not stopped promptly (if not stopped this can run into thousands!) it will download all previously received emails back to the 15 August 2015. Talktalk claim that is absolutely nothing to do with them and that there is no network problems. Could anything that I changed when installing and running the AVG performance upgrade have affected Windows live mail. If it has how can this be reversed.

I request you to change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private), please go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured, please click OK and check if you can send/receive email with enabled AVG Internet Security.

- Open AVG PC TuneUp
- On the bottom right corner you will find "Rescue Center"
- Please click on it and you will have option as "Restore Changes".

Do you have AVG 18.6? Please try to disable email shield and check if you could send/ receive emails.
Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> Settings -> Components -> Email Shield -> disable it temporarily for 10 minutes and check with it.

I have tried restoring changes (i.e from the date when I installed tune up) - and re booted the system but it has made no difference we still cannot open attachments directly from emails - the message that shows is "there was a problem sending the command to the programme" do I needs to do anything else?
