What is the error message you get when you surf through a public Wifi?

Hi.
I recently bought Microsoft Laptop3 and installed AVG and payed for basic package.
I often go to library and try to access public WiFi available, but the log in page does not open and cannot access.

Do I turn off firewall for a little while and access while I am using…?
Or Is there any other ways to manage the situation…?

I am not tech gig so it might be an easy solution.
If someone can guide me somehow, that would be great.

Thanks for your message.
I cannot remember, so I will do screen shot next time I go there.
But a screen popped up and asked me to diagnose security status, and I assumed it was from AVG function.
I tried to play with some options but did not work, and did not reach to log in page.

I may go back there in next few days, so will keep you in a loop.
