Qsnatch malware

Hello John,
Thank you for reaching out to AVG Community Support.
We understand your concern about protecting your devices from the Qsnatch malware.
AVG Internet Security (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Antivirus-FAQ&supportType=home) is designed to safeguard your devices from viruses, malware, phishing, and other potential threats.
To ensure optimal protection, we recommend always using the latest version of AVG and ensuring that your virus definitions are up to date.
AVG relies on a database of known virus definitions to detect malware and threats, so it's crucial to keep these definitions regularly updated. Typically, AVG updates virus definitions automatically. However, if you are offline, the update may not occur.
To manually check for available updates, you can click the refresh icon located above "Last updated" in the bottom-left corner of the main application screen.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and please feel free to keep us informed of any updates or further assistance needed.

Does AVG detect this malware?

Thank you for taking the time to write back tous, John.
AVG Internet Security will protect you from all malwares including Qsnatch malware. AVG AntiVirus/ Internet Security automatically moves malicious files to Quarantine (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=use-avg-antivirus-quarantine&q=quarantine&supportType=home#idt_030) if they cannot be repaired.
If you believe AVG does not find any malicious file, you can send it to AVG Threat Labs for further analysis. You can report potential malware files that AVG AntiVirus has not identified as malware, but you believe may be malicious by following the below article:
Submitting a file or URL to AVG for review (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=avg-submit-file-url&q=false+negative&supportType=home)
If you have any queries, do let us know.
Thank you and keep us updated.
