Re-install and activate product that had no license code

My avg product - Performance Pro - was ariginally downloaded and installed via an email which said I didn't need a licence code to do this.  I lost the product when computer had to be repaired and now I have no way of reactivating the product andcan only use the free version.  The original license does not expire until September 2015.
Any solution to this problem?
