Hello, I am currently using AVG Free Antivirus and everytime I restart my computer I get a message from AVG asking me to reinstall because I moved to windows 10, I click reinstall however nothing happens. Because nothing happens everytime I've clicked reinstall I recently tried to install a newer version from AVGs website instead of reinstalling, this however prompted the current AVG antivirus I have to tell me that the download contained 2 Trojan horses. I'm unsure how i should resolve this issue as i cannot reinstall and AVG antivirus is telling me the newer version has Trojans. Any help would be immensely appreciated.

I am sorry to hear that. I would suggest you uninstall the program completely using AVG remover and AVG Clear tool. Please download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe . This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces. Open tool User Account control - click "Yes" Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode because there is a problem with compatibility) Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security) Click "Uninstall" Click "Restart computer".
After the restart, please follow the instructions in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG to run the remover tool. Please use the below offline installer link to install AVG Antivirus free on your computer.
Note: Before starting the installation, please select "Basic protection" to install AVG Free.
