May I know when do you get this message? Is that while reactivating the program?
If you are trying to reactivate the new license on AVG, please open AVG Internet Security > My AVG > My Subscription > Click Logout/ Remove license (If you have that option) > Select "Enter the license" > click OK to reactivate the program.
If the issue persists, please provide the screenshot [http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot] of message to proceed further.
I am getting a message that the online content is not available, though the connection is fine - what is wrong?
