Receiving invalid licence message

I recently bought AVG Order number:   (Order Id removed). 
Since I bought the product it does not update or scan the computer. I just keep receiving a UPDATE FAILED: INVALID LICENCE message. I've tried re-entering the licence number but that does not seem to work.
