My appologies if I have upset any AVG Guru. Apparently there seems to have been mutiple postings of my question. Hopefully when I post this, as I did the original question (just once) there will not be multiple postings. 
Thank you for your replies. I have yet to get confirmation that the latest AVG driver will work with my older printer on Windows 10 so far, all other drivers have failed to solve the problem.​
