I am having an incredibly difficult time in obtaining a refund! I managed to get an email response from AVG but when I replied back requesting a refund I was told my case had been closed?! I have tried calling the UK support number numerous times but my calls keep being ended. I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed with AVG customer service, well lack of! Any advice?
Hi, I believe there is an automatic refund function in your account if it’s within the first 30 days.
I am in my account now and literally looking at a refund button - are you sure it’s not there, or is this what you have used that hasn’t worked?
I actually bought AVG in 2023 and had a few issues with it and refunded it quite easily, but I have come back to it 3 days ago as I’ve tried them all over the years, and this is the one I find the most comfortable to use for the outgoing firewall prompts when a new app tried to access the internet (it’s so uncomplicated vs some of the others).
I had an issue today and AVG support chatline answered me within 30 seconds and spent an entire hour with me listening to my every question, so I am really surprised you’ve been unable to get support for a refund. I am not sure what to tell you other than let us know how you go and perhaps let us know what you’ve actually done thus far that hasn’t worked, which may help us help you better. Peace.
Facebook messenger is how I got a hold of them. I suggest cancelling anything to do with AVG and get a different anti virus provider, one that will actually respond.
I am already considering it (a refund), again.
Even though they added 6 extra months for me due to issues and I bought 3 years/10 devices of internet security for a really good price. Something just ‘feels’ off about it all. To be completely honest, I am wondering if my PC is even protected.
