Registry/Config File location of Remote Admin settings

Hi Scott,

The information is stored in a configuration file however it would not be readable in this sense. I believe the best solution would be to remotely use the AVG Settings Manager utility to export the configuration to a file, then import in to a station to review the settings.

The utility is available here:

http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_smg_stf_x86_2013_2897.exe

The parameters are:

avgsetmgr.exe -g <path to export config>.pck - stores configuration to file.
avgsetmgr.exe -s <path to import config>.pck - imports target configuration in to client.

Hope this helps, any questions let me know.

Thanks,

George

Scott, The AVG (SMB) support in the UK (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=190509) will probably deal with your query @ their earliest convenience. Please note that SMB working hours are now: 8.00am to 5.30pm GMT/BST daily Monday through to Friday. Also, For a more direct contact method you may wish to try this new link (http://www.avg.com/gb-en/customer-support-business).

Hi George,
Is the utility youve mentioned above available on the 2016 version?
Or is there another way to view the AVG settings on a system (stored in a file\registry key etc.)?

Thanks
Bobio

Thank you Alan, Ill try contacting suppport.
What about the non smb versions- any idea of a file that contains settings of an item like avg protection pro (on my personal computer) ?
Thanks,
Bobio

Hello,

I work for an MSP and we have AVG 2013 deployed to most of our clients. We use continnuum and have LMI Pro connections to each of our clients systems, which offers a lot of flexibility in troubleshooting issues without disturbing the end user.

My question is, for AVG 2013 Business Edition, is there a file stored on the drive or a registry key that holds in a viewable format the Remote Admin setting for that system's AVG installation? I am trying to troubleshoot a particular issue without bothering the user as they would be unable to have us help during business hours otherwise.

Thanks for the help.

Bobio, See your other posting (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b00000008ty4AAA)… 'Unfortunately, there is no AVG settings manager or AVGsetlic.exe tool for 2016 AVG products at this time'.
