Removal of AVG antivirus from Mac

I understand the inconvenience. Please uninstall AVG Antivirus from your Macbook and check if you are able to update Maps.

Unable to update maps on Tom Tom gps using Macbook.
Tomtom support said problem is caused by AVG antivirus.
How do i remove?
