Removing AVG Software and reloading, will this mean I have to pay again

Sorry I don't think I have explained myself. I have AVG on my PC and my Son has not done his updates on his iphone causing him to become locked out. I can update his iphone through itunes which resides on my PC. When I try to do the update  by pluggling his phone into my USB port and running through itunes, it keeps giving an error message. Apple have told me that it is due to the AVG security software and |I need to remove it to allow me to do the update. I am loathed to remove it when I have paid for it…can I remove it. do the update and then re-install without being charged again.

I have been told by Apple that the AVG Software is not allowing me to do an update on an iPhone through my computer. They hav advised that I remove and re-install. I pay a subscript in for AVG and PC Tune up. If I remove these programmes can I reload without having to pay again?

Yes, you can certainly remove and reinstall AVG on your computer.

However, instead of removing please disable AVG protection temporarily on your computer and check if that fix the issue.

To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon present at the bottom right corner of your desktop(System Tray) and you can see a scroll bar to "Disable Protection". Please click on the same to disable AVG Protection and check if you are able to access this application.
