We use AVG Business Edition 2016 and have noticed AVG Residential Shield alerting users of Randsomer virus located in C:\Windows\Temp\ with random names .dll for each user. Of course when I browse to that location, there is no such file. These pop ups have been occurring every day for about 6 days. I did notice a Windows update was installed on my machine on 8/17/2016 and my first alert was the morning of 8/18/2016. I noticed the same for another user as well except the update was installed on 8/23 and the pop up occurred on 8/23 for them. The Windows update is KB3177723. This may be coincidence but, seems like this update could be triggering it. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I have been in contact with AVG support for a few days but it's still unresolved.
