Hello Chris,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We request  you to confirm  us whether you  have entered the case number over there in the particular box and completed it until the end.
Also let us know whether you  have clicked on "Done" at the end you will get.
If not, please do run the sys info once again and wait until it gets completed and click "Done" which you will get at the end.
We can escalate this case to the concerned team once you get back to  us confirming this.
Thank you.
i have no idea what you mean by 'case number' or where it should be entered (where 'over there'??) or what 'completed it until the end' means - if you mean the end of the scan, yes it completed and a message saying it found a threat with the only option being to press the 'Done' button (which i selected).

Which takes me back to my first post above.

G'day…
If the files have deleted by AVG program, you can find these files in quarantine. Please check the files in quarantine once again …
Unfortunately this is not correct - as noted above and as shown in the following image, there's nothing in quarantine.
…and also confirmed whether your software your working fine in your PC
No it doesn't - the .EXE has been deleted as described in the original post.

Underwhelmed AVG Ultimate user.

An internet Security scan has completed and advised it has deleted a file that i know to be safe (it's been part of a software install on my system for some time and previous scans have never been a concern with this (or other) files). The file is not in the Quarantine tab. I can't find a log.

1. How do i get the file back?
2. Where is the option to stop it deleting files without any prompt from the user?
