Results of most recent scan & something else

I just did a scan but AVG is telling me last scan was a day ago.  Why?  Also, how do I get the results of my most recent scan?

Hello Karen,
The "Last scan" status on AVG interface issue was fixed in the recently released 18.1 version (please open AVG Free Antivirus/AVG Internet Security > Menu > About to check the version). I would also like to inform you that it will get updated only if you run a scan by clicking on "Scan computer" on main interface and not for any other scans like Schedules scan, deep scan and file or folder scan.
You can find the recent scan reports below:
Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista: C:\ProgramData\AVG\Antivirus\report
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVG\Antivirus\report
Also, you can open the AVG user interface on your desktop for Schedule Scan reports, and click the gear icon next to Scan Computer > Select Schedule Scan > report files.
Best regards,
Alok.

Hi,

I would also like to complain about the area where it says when the "Last Scan" was run.  It definitely is NOT working properly (meaning the way it always worked previous to the updates over the last couple of weeks).

I have only EVER done "Deep Scans" and (other than a couple of times where there was a glitch caused by an update - like in the update a couple of weeks ago), the "LAST SCAN" area of AVG would ALWAYS get updated to show when the most recent scan occured.

To repeat, when the "LAST SCAN" ran was always updated  - regardless of whether it was "Scan Computer", "Deep Scan", "Scheduled Scan",  or "Boot-time Scan".  It has ONLY been since the last two recent updates that it has not been updating for "Deep Scan", "Scheduled Scan", or "Boot-time Scan".  I know this to be fact because, as I have said, I only ever run scheduled "Deep Scans" - BOTH on my own computer and my mother's computer (at a different location).

Perhaps some other users out there can confirm that the "Last Scan" always updated for the other scans, before the two most recent updates that fooled it up.

Finally, I have to ask (because this issue of "Last Scan" not working has happenned a few other times over the past couple of years), DOES ANYONE AT AVG ACTUALLY DO A QUALITY CONTROL CHECK AND RIGOROUS USUABILITY TESTING BEFORE RELEASING MAJOR UPDATES?

Terry,

In the current release, AVG User Interface will update the “Last scan run” data only if you press "Scan Computer" floating button and not for any other scans. However, in the upcoming release of AVG the deep scan and full comp scan or scheduled scan should be updated too.
