I completely understand your concern. Please be informed that the option to shut down PC automatically after the scan is available in AVG 2017 version also. Hence to utilize that option, please go to AVG->Internet Security->click on 'Scan settings' icon(gear wheel icon) near the 'Scan computer' button->click on 'Scan settings' icon in Deep virus scan option->Scheduling ->check the 'Shut down the system after the scan finishes'.
This will turn off the PC once the scan completes.

Is it possible to revert to a previous PRO Version ?
My AVG Internet Security just auto-updated a few days ago to AVG Zen (or whatever it is) which I dislike. In About it says Version 17.5.3022 so I don't know if that is Zen or not but I just had a Zen window open somehow.
Anyway, I really do NOT like the Lack of Functionality that this new/current version has.
For the last couple of years, I have enjoyed being able to Run a Deep Scan knowing that my computer will Automatically Shut Down upon completion of the scan (as an option). As such, I have been able to run all my Full System Scans at night when I go to bed. This way my work or time spent on the computer is not hindered by a scan.
Is there a way to revert back to the previous version ?
If so, HOW ?
PS> Removing the Auto Shut Down function was a Really BAD Idea and one which will likely see me purchasing some other Security Software in the future (I might not even wait until this Licensed Subscription runs out). I highly recommend (and request) that AVG sincerely considers revising/updating this software with that feature which many of us have grown to appreciate over the years. I cannot see ANY JUSTIFICATION for having removed that functionality !
