Rid screen of black pop-up constant black offers etc

I understand how you feel, as these notifications can be sometimes very inconvenient. Our marketing team is already working to create a smoother experience. AVG antivirus continuously monitors your PC for vulnerabilities, but the antivirus is only one of the security apps we offer. If an issue which requires a separate subscription is detected, it will offer you the appropriate product. For example, if your network is not protected, AVG will offer our VPN. For outdated drivers or system performance issues, AVG Driver Updater or AVG TuneUp will be offered instead. However, if you wish to disable these offers, please do the following:
Please open AVG Free Antivirus and click "Menu" > "Settings" > "General" > "Personal Privacy"
Within "Personal Privacy", please deselect options under the "Offers" and "Personalization" sections.

HI and thank you in advance.
How do I stop my whole screen being coverered with all and every black notifiications.
I used to have AVG free way back, am allergicic to computers , am 70 and I installed AVG free after years of Kaspersky. I had to uninstall AVG Free becauuse of constant black background notifications on my whole screen. I re-installed it and the black notifications are still there. SO annoying. Running old Windows 7 32 bit. Thank you, Gaye
