Router crashing multiple times a day

Hi Jill,

Let us investigate whether this is due to AVG.
If you are using AVG Antivirus free program, please disable its components individually as mentioned in this article.
Once it is done, check the status with your router.
If the issue persist, please open AVG TuneUp program window and click on "speed up".
Under 'background & startup programs", check whether any application related to your router is put to sleep.
If yes, click on wake up and check the status.
If the issue still persist, you can uninstall AVG programs and confirm whether the issue persist or gets resolved.

For the last two years, we have been having a problem with our router going out multiple times a day.  Within the past month, we have had the internet company come out to replace the router, then again to replace all of our internet wiring and we are still having this problem.  After a long call with the internet provider today, they looked at our router logs and found the following message popping up multiple times a day: "SSH user logged out", then shortly after this message, the power goes out on our router and takes 3-5 minutes to reboot.  The internet agent suggested that it is a program on our computer, most likely our anti-virus software (AVG) or the AVG Tune up software. We have one computer plugged into the router and everything else is wireless.  We turned the computer off and haven't had a single problem since, so I'm pretty sure it's something on the computer.  Is there any setting or anything with AVG or Tune up that could be causing this?

Hi I have the exact same problem. I do have AVG on the PC that crashes my home router.

I was just curious if you eventually pinned down the reason for the repeated trouble?
And why you were getting "SSH use logged out" message - could these possibly be generated by AVG?
From AVG I am using their antivirus software.

Thanks

Hi I do not want to send you any data, my question is whether you can share the conclusion of J Call's problem, as I think I am having a very similar problem?
