Why does AVG go into passive mode if another antivirus package is running?

Hi Kieran,
Please be informed that it is not recommended to install more than one Antivirus program on a same PC. It will conflict with the performance of the AVG program. That's the reason once after the installation of the other Antivirus program the AVG program goes to the passive mode.
Once after the uninstallation of the conflicting applications the AVG program will return back to the normal mode.
