Running Windows Defender with AVG Internet Protection

I am running Windows 10 with AVG Internet Protection, AVG Driver Updater and AVG PC Tune Up.
Is it ok to turn on Windows Defender or would this cause a conflict with these AVG products. At the moment Windows Defender is turned off by default.

We do understand your concern. Please be informed that by default the Windows defender will be turrned off when you install AVG. It is not recommended to use Windows defender with AVG, this will cause conflcit and slow down your computer.

Joan, Please note that from Win 8 onwards Windows Defender was re-classified as a AntiVirus prog which can conflict with AVG.
Windows Defender is a software product that attempts to detect and remove malware. It was first released as a free antispywareprogram download for Windows XP, shipped with Windows Vista and Windows 7 and made into a full antivirus program replacing Microsoft Security Essentials as part of Windows 8 and later versions.
