Safe mode scan Found infections:282 Found info severity:284 . None fixed. Windows scan found nothing. Is all OK?

I have a similar situation, but there is an additional component.

My computer randomly shut itself down while I was away. It wouldn't reboot, but eventually did in safe mode. The event viewer said it had an "assembly identity" event data and the source was "SideBySide". A Google search on "SideBySide" didn't turn up anything. I ran AVG and, like Cathy, it said I had a number of infections and "found info severity" issues. The whole log shows files that couldn't be scanned, which makes sense because safe mode is not allowing access to everything.

What was disturbing were the three lines at the top of the log that say "Found Bootkit. 61030040. F987090C". I couldn't find any data on the specific bootkit.

Eventually I found one mention of "found bootkit" and, as suggested, I've run TDSSKiller, Malware Bytes, WindowsDefender Offline and AVG again (not in safe mode). In this round I didn't find ANYTHING.

So what's the deal with "Found Bootkit. 61030040. F987090C"? Is it not really an issue either?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Ariane,
In order to analyze it please provide us with GMER (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/GMER-Scan-Result/) and AVG scan result export (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/AVG-scan-result-export/).
Thanks

Yesterday, received a "threat notice" and had AVG protect me. Rebooted and used computer normally. This morning, AVG failed when updating virus definitions. So rebooted into Safe Mode and ran AVG. Got the following results:
Objects scanned     : 192952
Found infections    :  282
Found high severity :    0
Found med severity  :    0
Found info severity :  284
Fixed high severity :    0
Fixed med severity  :    0
Fixed info severity :    0

Then rebooted and successfully updated definitions in Normal mode. Reran a scan, and nothing was found. Unsure whether or not to be worried and how to proceed.
