Beware of a company that connects with AVG and invades your computer and tries to pull a scam! I downloaded Windows 10 and had to reinstall AVG. However, I ran into problems with getting my password in and changed it 4 times and then called for help. They helped me install it. However, I still had some problems because the tune up wanted a password that I didn't have and there was no link to create a new one. So, I got online to chat on the AVG support page. The person on there said that I would be referred to tech support and they would call me in 10 minutes. I got the call and the tech person wanted access to my computer. I allowed it and he began running scans. After about 45 minutes he started showing me a long row of errors. He said someone was trying to hack into my files, my bank records, my email. I listed was he went on and on. It reminded me of a similar situation a couple of years before when I was referred by what I thought was an AVG tech but turned out to be someone sending me on to a company that charged me $200. to clear out my computer. This time I refused to let him go to that point. I told him I had HP Care pack and would not use any other service. He stated he wasn't trying to sell anything but I had all these problems with a hacker and started going on and on. I just stated I was not paying for any other service. He then said goodby. I reported this to someone in sales at AVG because I couldn't find a number for corporate. The person in sales told me to go toavg.com/speakout. However, it only led to a dead page. I couldn't find in by searching for AVG speak out. Later I called Tech support and they turned me over to a sales person. She helped me get into my account since it kept saying the password I had for that was invalid. This was after I changed the password 5 times. I was referred back to Tech support. They said that window that comes up with a request for a password was not something from them. However, trying to cancel that didn't help because I wasn't able to use Tune up. I am going to get on the phone with HP and have them clear everything out and reinstall Windows 10 and help me with the AVG. If I can't get it to work, I will quit the AVG and get another anti virus. I am also sending this to Kim Komando since she was the one that promoted this app. Watch out people! I think that person who was sent to me by Chat on AVG was more than just a scamm
