Scan/firewall logs

I have latest version of AVG Antivirus and there is no Report File at the location you specified.  There is Policies, Network profiles, Friends, and Advanced.  I looked under each of those and the closest I saw was under Advanced where I could specify Log all blocked packets and number of records.  It didn't say anything about log location.

I had CrashPlan do computer to computer backup.  I have to turn off AVG on the destination computer to start it backing up.  Once started I can turn AVG back on.  But after awhile it the connection is blocked.  I have AVG set up to Ask before creating rules.  It doesn't ask.  I looked in the Report folder Alok mentioned and the only file that has been written to today is BrowserProtection.tx. It was written to hours ago and contains nothing of interest.  I also looked in the log folder that is in the same directory as report.  The biggest file is filled with nothing but lines that say writing to the directory containing the log that has been written to was denied (yeah, like how did it write that entry?).    None of the other logs there had connection traffic info.

I remember the old days when most things didn't get blocked from known applications without asking whether to block.  Anything else you could look in a log that was actually a GUI so if you found the blocked connection in the log it would help you create a rule for the connection.  Seems Internet Security products are becoming something you want to keep OFF and just go with Windows Firewall.

Hello R doug,
You can find the location of log files here (C:\ProgramData\Avg\Antivirus\report), Also the location of AVG Firewall components report file is (AVG > Menu > Settings > Components > Firewall > Customize > Report file.  For scans, it's in the scan settings (click the gear icon next to Scan Computer > schedule scan > report file). Feel Free to contact us again if you need any further assistance.
Best regards,
Alok.

Where can I access the scan/firewall logs after a scan.
