Scheduled Scan Does Not Work

I installed AVG FREE and set a scheduled scan by specifying the day and time. But, the scan did not execute after the specified date and time. AVG FREE was activated. Last scan date remains the manual scan date a few days ago.  PC is sleep-condition. Please advise.
