OK I have unchecked the boxes as per instructed
Sheduled scan is now running !!!
Seems like that has solved the problem, even though my laptop never ever runs on battery, being permanently plugged in to mains supply.

So…the problem has returned… the sheduled scans are not running, unless I delete them and reschedule and save, then they work but who knows for how long before I have to delete them and reschedule and save

This is not the case, my laptop is at home and never used by running on batteries
It is always running on mains supply and plugged in.

I have had AVG protection instaled on my computers for many many years, but I think I shall be uninstalling it very soon and looking for a replacement.

Please be informed that, every time you schedule a scan you need to make those changes in the settings like mentioned in the first post.
