Scheduling auto scans

Thank you. I was aware of the procedure you described; however, the scan wasn't running as scheduled, nor did it not run after the pc was off, then turn on after the scheduled scan. Older version of AVG would run the scan if it had been missed because the pc had been turned off.
I've since been online with AVG tech support with a fix. Will give it a test this coming week. I'll experiement to another separate scan at another set time.
Cheers,
David

Hello David,

I understand that you wish to schedule AVG scan in your computer, please do not worry, I will assist you with this. Please open the AVG Internet Security installed in your computer and click on the gear wheel icon next to the "Scan computer" option in the center of the AVG window. You can see a new window with the list of scan options, at the bottom you can see "Schedule scan". Please click on the same to set the scan time in your computer. If you face any difficulties, feel free to contact us.

Since installing a recent paid version of AVG, I cannot find the menu of scheduling scans (day, week, etc.). Has it been hidden somewhere? If so, where?

Sure, David. You can try this scheduled scan later and check. Please also note that in the latest version of AVG, once the scheduled scan is missed, it will not run when the computer is next turned on. The scheduled scan will only run in the next scheduled time and not on next restart.
