Hello Carl. I do not think so AVG would cause a problem with scrolling. Could you please clarify that is it only on IE or do you experience it on other applications too?
It occurs on IE and in my e-mail from windstream.net, which, I believe, comes from IE. I have Chrome but have never used it.
Quite often, while scrolling on IE, the scroll bar freezes. If I click the "refresh" icon (clockwise arc containing an arrow) or "open new tab" (then click X on opened tab), the scroll bar unlocks. As I continue scrolling, the bar locks again, and I have to "unthaw" it again. What would cause this, and does a remedy exist? Could my AVG Ultimate and/or Antivirus cause this problem?
Carl, thank you for the information. I would request you to try using Google chrome and open your email in it. I also recommend you to check for the unwanted add ons in your IE and remove them and try resetting IE to defaults settings ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/923737/ ).
