As you know there are issues with the human rights in Russia. The step to stay persons in Russia without spyware protection is risky.

Why are free AVG products and services no longer available?

Due to recent events and export control regulations, AVG products and services are no longer available for use in Russia and Belarus.

Could you share details about "export control regulations"?
