If the file is trustworthy and if AVG detected it as a threat, we can send it for analysis.
Post analysis, if it is safe, our developers will add it to whitelist.

My AVG quarantined a suspicious file as being infected by FileRepMalware.
I need to send the said file for analysis, but I don't know what option should I choose when dealing with AVG feedback section:

  • Is it Potential malware option, or
  • the False positive one?
FYI: The file is related to an app not to the system.
