Serious error occurred during restart after installing an update to AVG Free Anti Virus on 30 Oct 15

Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit
When I installed the update I did so under my husband's logon (Jim's computer) as system administrator.
I can no longer log onto his account or access his files, although when I call up the AVG icon, it tells me the update was successfully installed. (not temporary).
When I tried to click on the link you sent above for the AVG remover tool, I had to type in the administrator password (which was accepted), then I got: Windows cannot findC:\Users\Ab's Account\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\M6B12R3Wavg_remover_stf_x64_20155501.exe (Maybe not surprising since was installed under Jim Robb's account, which I can't access since the error occurred) (PS the 'W' just before' avg_remover etc' is actually a zig zag symbol not on my keyboard)
Computer shop installed AVG Free Antivirus when we bought PC last spring. Received notice of update 30 Oct–took 40 minutes to install it. When restarting the computer as instructed, opening page came up and accidentally banged my elbow and mouse clicked before I could log on–computer shut down. (Joys of a newbee!) This has resulted in 2 errors. 1) Can't log on as system administrator: get message "The User Profile Service failed-the Logon/User Profile cannot be loaded." 2) tried to restore computer to previous date, also tried under AVG advanced settings to delete temporary update files (both failed) got–"an error occurred when saving the configuration–specified file was not found" (http://free/avg/cpm/gb-en/app-issue?err=536805315&act=1&A=bltB)
Also:( Windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Av\avgcfgex.exe) HELP!

How does this work? How do I reply to you and keep it in one thread? Does writing an "answer" to your "answer" above work as a chain of communication? Ab (First time I've tried this.)
Hello Ab.
I would request you to limit your replies to only this post and you will be fine. Just ignore the message posted in the other post.
Thank you.
OK. I'll let you know how we get on. Thanks.
