Have lost all faith in AVG. they are a nightmare. no response from support and inconsistent performance.
will now seek alternative solutions to antivirus and internet protection.
Hello Dave. Thank you very much for your time and patience. My name is Shawn, and I am writing to you on behalf of AVG’s senior support team. I am writing to you, as a follow-up, to your forum inquiry.
From what I understand, you were able to export the Email Shield certificate. However you are not able to import the certificate into your email client (Outlook 2016).
Although our support page, https://is.gd/yQIIje, only refers to the most problematic mail clients (i.e. Mozilla Thunderbird, Sea Monkey, The Bat), the instruction is the same for Outlook 2016.
I trust this information is useful and helpful. Best Regards, Shawn
Hello Doron.
We're here to help. After installing AVG Internet Security some email clients, may show that the Email server certificate is invalid when you send and receive emails.
The Email Shield in AVG Internet Security uses an advanced scanning method for incoming and outgoing emails over SSL/TLS secured connections. Some email clients have their own certificate stores and may require extra configuration to avoid warnings about invalid Email server certificates.
Refer to instructions provided in this link on how to export the Email Shield certificate and import it into your email client's certificate store.
If you need anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.
